Summary:

The Planner/Scheduler will plan, schedule and monitor project activities and resources through the application of corporate schedule systems, techniques and procedures in accordance with all applicable client standards  procedures and all governmental regulations. Reports to the Division General Managers / Vice President. Estimating as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

Must be knowledgeable of the Corporate Safety Manual, the site specific safety plan, and all specific hazard procedures in order to properly plan and schedule work activities.

Develop a working knowledge of the project objectives/goals, scope of work, and contractual obligations.

 


Develop detailed engineering and construction schedules with assistance from Project Manager, Design Project Engineer and

Project Superintendent ; Develop the master project schedule.

 


Resource the detailed schedules, develop scheduling progress curves and man-loading charts, and plot actual progress and

equivalent man-loading.

 


Develop milestone schedules for submittal bid packages and develop weekly work-lists with leadership from the Site Construction

Manager.

 


Update and maintain detailed engineering procurement and construction schedule and work with Cost Analyst to compute earned

progress based primarily on PCS data.

 

Monitor project status (i.e. milestone achievement and earned percent complete) and report variances to management.

 


Analyze engineering procurement, and construction schedule variances and their effect on the total project schedule and analyze

work progress craft productivity reports in order to forecast staffing requirements for future work.

 


Interface with all construction support supervision to provide scheduling data for items such as; subcontract change requests, bid

comparisons, new work item estimates, and resolution of potential schedule/work problems.

 


Plan, develop and prepare specialty schedules and progress reports, i.e. 2 week look ahead, startup and commissioning

schedules, construction manager's progress report, client progress report, etc.

 

Work with the Checkout/Start-Up coordinator, developing detailed checkout schedules and progress reporting charts/curves.

Participate in meetings with company personnel, Owner/Client, subcontractors etc., and provide consultation in planning and

schedule analysis for problem resolution.

 

Maintain a written history of the construction project, indicating construction duration, milestone starts, completion's, deliveries, engineering releases, start-up dates, manpower (i.e. an as-built project schedule).
